Behavioural Support
We provide individualized support for clients with a wide range of complex support needs. Professional, respectable, and catered services are brought directly home to accommodate your family's schedule and needs. Our evidence-based techniques uncover and target underlying emotional-behavioural response pathways necessary for achieving therapeutic growth and generating lasting foundational change.
Program Goals:
- Promote life skill development: We provide guidance and support for clients to develop practical life skills that can help them function more independently and confidently in daily life. Examples include cooking, cleaning, laundry, time management, and organization skills.
- Foster emotional regulation: We help clients develop strategies to manage their emotions in healthy and constructive ways. This can include mindfulness techniques, breathing exercises, journaling, and identifying triggers that may cause emotional dysregulation.
- Develop coping strategies: We work with clients to identify healthy coping mechanisms that can help them deal with stress and challenging situations. Examples may include physical exercise, creative expression, or engaging in calming activities like reading or meditation.
- Improve conflict management: We teach clients communication skills and conflict resolution techniques that can help them navigate conflicts and disagreements in a positive and productive way. This may include strategies like active listening, expressing feelings clearly and respectfully, and finding common ground.
- Support positive emotional expression: We encourage clients to express their emotions in a safe and healthy way, using techniques like art therapy, music therapy, or other creative outlets.
- Establish healthy behavioural boundaries: We help clients understand the importance of healthy boundaries and how to establish and maintain them in relationships with others. This can include setting limits on behaviour or communication, or learning to say "no" when necessary.
- Social skill development: We help clients develop social skills like active listening, empathy, and effective communication. This can include role-playing, group activities, or social outings that provide opportunities for practice and feedback.
- Improve family relations: We work with families to improve communication and strengthen relationships between family members. This may include family therapy, group sessions, or individual coaching for family members.
- Foster healthy support structures: We help clients build healthy relationships and support systems outside of their immediate family. This can include connecting with community resources or finding peer support groups.
- Increase self-esteem/individual empowerment: We help clients build confidence in themselves and their abilities, focusing on their strengths and positive qualities. This can include goal setting, positive affirmations, or other self-care techniques.
- Maintain client and family safety: We prioritize safety and security for our clients and their families at all times. Our trained staff members are prepared to respond to crises or emergency situations as needed, using non-violent crisis intervention and other strategies to keep everyone safe.
High-Risk Intervention program is designed to provide specialized support to individuals who display high-risk or dangerous behaviors. These behaviors may include, but are not limited to, suicidal ideation or self-harm, violent outbursts, or extreme emotional dysregulation. Our program is staffed by highly trained professionals who are experts in crisis management and de-escalation techniques. They work closely with clients and their families to develop a comprehensive care plan that addresses the individual's unique needs and circumstances.
The goal of our program is to provide immediate and ongoing support to individuals who may be experiencing a crisis or who may be at risk of harming themselves or others. We understand that these situations can be very difficult and overwhelming for both the individual and their loved ones, which is why we offer 24/7 support to ensure that our clients receive the help they need when they need it.
Our team of professionals is trained to assess the level of risk and to provide the appropriate level of intervention. We utilize evidence-based practices to provide individualized care that is tailored to the needs of each client. This may include therapy, medication management, and other forms of support as needed.
At our program, we understand the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, which is why we work closely with other healthcare providers and community resources to ensure that our clients receive comprehensive care. We believe that with the right support, individuals can overcome their challenges and achieve their goals, and we are dedicated to providing the highest level of care to help them do so.
