Accessing care through Jordan’s Principle
Obsidian Support Services provides Jordan’s Principle navigation to help ensure First Nations children and youth receive the services and supports they need without delay or disruption. Our team works closely with families, caregivers, and service providers to guide them through the Jordan’s Principle process, including identifying eligible supports, completing applications, gathering required documentation, and advocating on behalf of the child or youth. We assist families in accessing essential services such as health, mental health, educational, cultural, and social supports, ensuring that each child’s unique needs are recognized and prioritized. Through compassionate guidance and strong advocacy, Obsidian Support Services helps families understand their rights under Jordan’s Principle and reduces barriers so children and youth can access timely, equitable care that supports their overall well-being and development.
