Transitional housing

At Obsidian Support Services, we recognize that transitioning out of care is one of the most critical and vulnerable moments in a young person’s life.

Without the right supports in place, many youth face uncertainty, instability, and a heightened risk of homelessness or exploitation.

Our Transitional Housing program is designed to bridge that gap, providing not just a place to live, but a foundation to build a future.

Safe & Supported Living

We offer safe, stable housing accommodations within a semi-independent living environment, where youth are supported as they begin to navigate adulthood while still having access to consistent guidance and care.

This model allows young people to develop independence at their own pace, while knowing they are not alone in the process.

Dedicated Support & Mentorship

Our program includes dedicated staffing support, ensuring youth have access to mentorship, structure, and emotional guidance as they adjust to increased responsibility.

Our team works alongside each individual, building trusting relationships that foster accountability, confidence, and personal growth.

Life Skills & Independence Building

Through intentional, skill-based programming, we equip youth with the tools necessary to successfully transition into independent living.

Support includes:

  • Budgeting and financial literacy
  • Cooking and household management
  • Time management and routine building
  • Education and employment readiness
  • Emotional regulation and decision-making

Personalized, Trauma-Informed Care

We understand that every youth’s journey is different. That is why our approach is personalized, trauma-informed, and rooted in empowerment.

Each individual receives the support they need to thrive and build long-term stability.

Our Commitment

More than housing, this program is about creating stability, restoring confidence, and building independence.

It is about giving youth the opportunity to step into adulthood with the skills, support, and belief that they are capable of creating a life of their own, one grounded in security, purpose, and possibility.
