Respite care clients with physical or developmental disabilities or chronic illnesses. This program provides individualized care plans that address each child’s unique needs. Supportive supervision ensures safety and security for all participants. Flexible scheduling options allow for supports any time during the week.
Physical Health & Personal Support: We have a strong team of experienced Personal Support Workers (PSWs), Developmental Support Workers, and Registered Nurses dedicated to providing professional, compassionate, and individualized in-home support. Our diverse team of experts have training and experience accommodating a wide range of mental, physical and developmental conditions including but not limited to Alzheimer's and dementia care, Parkinson's care, traumatic brain injury care, spinal cord injury care, diabetes care, and palliative care. We provide assistance with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, and support with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Our team also offers skilled nursing services, including wound care, medication administration, and chronic disease management. We strive to promote physical health and well-being, while also providing emotional support to our clients and their families. Social & Recreational Support: We understand the importance of socialization and recreation in enhancing quality of life. Our team provides support in organizing and participating in social activities, such as attending community events, joining social clubs, and engaging in hobbies and interests. We also facilitate opportunities for our clients to connect with others and build meaningful relationships.
Behavioral & Mental Health Support: Our team includes certified behavioral therapists and mental health professionals who provide support to individuals with mental health and behavioral challenges. We use evidence-based approaches to develop individualized care plans that address each client's unique needs, promoting emotional and behavioral well-being.
Cultural Inclusivity & Community Engagement: We prioritize cultural inclusivity and community engagement in all our services. We understand the importance of respecting and honoring cultural traditions, and strive to provide culturally appropriate care and support to our clients. Our team works closely with indigenous communities to understand their needs and incorporate their cultural values into our programming. We also promote community engagement by encouraging our clients to participate in cultural events and activities that celebrate indigenous traditions and foster a sense of community and belonging.
Daily Living Care Plans: Our team will assist in completion of daily living activities such as personal hygiene, cooking/meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, medication administration, appointment tracking and more. We strive to provide clients with companionship and support through therapeutic conversations, board games, walks, and other activities based on individual client interests. Our goal is to help clients maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes.
